Who I Am
My name is Villie Rissa Rouw and I am the person behind Flux, a place for creating gender affirming clothes for myself, my family and my friends.
I myself am a trans masculine person and I have had a hard time finding clothes that fit my feminine body in a masculine way. Therefore I started creating my own clothes.
Join me as I develop my sewing and knitting skills.
My goal is to sell gender affirming clothes for trans people around the globe. So stick around if that interests you!
My StoryIt all began in in 2021 when I got diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression. I dropped out of school and didn’t know what to fill my days with. I remembered that I loved sewing and knitting when I was younger. And then my journey began.
I attented some to go to some different kinds of design schools, but I realised that my diagnosis make it to difficult for me to study. After 2-3 months I dropped out again. I decided that I would learn to sew and knit from my grandmother, from Youtube and from trying my best.
In 2026, after 5 years of devoloping my skills, I am finally in a place, where i can design something, and then sew it so that it fits my body in a way that i like.
The name fluxBeing in FLUX means being in constant change. This refers to my expirience with gender. All though I am now trans masculine, I have had a long journey to come to the place I am in today. Gender, for me, is a fluid thing.
The clothes I sew is for moving in. It is oversized and loose. It lets your body be in constant change. It lets you be in FLUX.
SustainebilityI find that sustainability is a matter of course in designing and sewing clothes. We overproduce and I don’t want to contribute to that. On the other hand I care a lot about quality and don’t want to sew clothes out of old bedsheets with holes in them. I choose my fabric with care. Only the best deadstock and thrifted fabric make the cut so I can ensure the best quality.
The Flux logoThe logo shows a woodcock bird because it’s my favorite bird. Try to look up ‘woodcock walking’. The bird looks like it’s dancing when it’s walking. Really cute. The logo is made by one of my friends Rasmus Broch Jacobsen.
